Fabulous pair of Tiffany all-silver grape shears / scissors in the Persian pattern, with gold wash blades, circa 1872-1889. Listed and shown on page 123 in the 'Tiffany Silver Flatware' book (1845-1905).
Measure: 6 1/2"l x 2 3/4"w
Bunches of fresh grapes were common on late 18th and 19th century dining tables, and scissors for cutting off individual portions became de rigueur.
