An exquisite and exceptional Russian silver-gilt, jewelled, enameled and beaded Aid-de Memoire/Card-
Case and pencil, by Antip Kuzmichev, signed and dated
1894, also signed ‘AA’ for Anatolee Artsibashev, Moscow. Antip made pieces for Tiffany and Company and the pencil also bears the Tiffany mark.
The rectangular-shaped case with a lapis lazuli clasp and inset with a south-sea pearl, the reverse with monogram within enamel- banded cartouche, the interior
of the case with original watered-silk covered note-pad, and (the interior of the card-case) with scrolled pierced-work design.
