A splendid English (first quarter 20th century) polychrome painted and parcel-gilded rectangular-shaped library table in Chinoiserie taste, the buttressed rim inset with a (wooden) raised faux marble top, a wide freeze carved with stylized lambrequin and gilded rope border, the table raised on four caryatid legs taking the form of carved and painted Chinamen in traditional dress.
