An elegant rococo / transitional style bureau-plat, diamond form diaper patterning veneer in contrasting burled fruit wood, shaped rectangular table, deep frieze housing one long central drawer flanked by two smaller ones (each side) original ormolu hard-wear, escutcheon plate with key, the desk raised on tall sweeping cabriole legs terminating in bronze dore sabots. Circa 1860.
