Coin silver four piece Gorham tea service, comprising coffee pot, tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl, each on four cast hairy kneed lion's paw feet, egg and dart border at shoulder and rim, hinged lid with cast floral finial, C-form handles with acanthus leaf furl rising from strap-work, insulators to tea and coffee pots, spouts with everted lip and design echoing handles, silver gilt to creamer interior, each piece inscribed 'John Dickson to his wife Isabella, Dec 25th 1863. Originally retailed by Shreve and Stanwood Company, Boston, Massachusetts.
