A fine late 19th century, Venetian blackamoor sculptural pedestal figure, the wooden carved and polychrome painted standing form elaborately clothed in intricately patterned draped “fabric” skirts, bodice, turban and Moroccan slippers, the figure with one arm raised supporting a circular disk, and the other holding a staff, raised on a shaped plateau and a larger rectangular plinth above a steeped base.
