A magnificent pair of Bleu-du-Roi gilt edge moulded and footed vases, center front with a naturalistically drawn bouquet of flowers executed in enamel colors on umber ground within a wide gilt-banded, etched cartouche surmounted by a crest comprised of s-shaped scrolls inset with filigree acanthus leaf decoration, the back with an asymetrical pendant-shaped device of scrolling foliate design, French, late 19th century.
