Fabulous pair of French Napoleon III Period Boiseries, originating from a French Chateau. Intricately carved painted panels with gilded designs depicting floral bouquets, birds, and other Napoleon III elements, with raised gilded moulding and original inset mirrors.

Circa 1852-1870.

Measure: 7ft 6”h x 4ft 10”w x 4”d

Boiseries were popular in 17th and 18th century French interior design and the Palace of Versailles has many fine examples. The panels were not confined just to the walls of a room but were also used to decorate doors, frames, cupboards and shelves.
