
A substantial Cuban mahogany bookcase/cabinet in two sections: the lower of architectural, rectangular form with two projecting central doors (opening to reveal shelves) flanked by four graduated drawers (lined for silver); the upper section comprising a molded arched cornice with dentil molded frieze above four glazed doors with geometric patterning astragals enclosing a lined interior (now fitted for lights) and adjustable shelving, the whole raised on a steeped base and ogee feet. England, circa 1820.
