Wonderful oil on canvas painting of a polo horse titled ‘Latto’, by early 20th century British artist W. Wasdell Trickett, signed and dated 1924. Mounted in an earlier mid 19th century elaborately carved gilt wood frame.

Measures: 12”w x 15”w (framed: 22”h x 25”w)

In the 1930's Trickett frequented the cavalry barracks at Tidworth and Aldershot to obtain commissions, where he charged £10 for a horse portrait, "but if particularly hard up or thirsty would accept £5!"
