A wonderful and elegant combination commode/jardinière veneered in satin and other fruit woods, central body of softened rectangular form with applied ormolu fringe and panels inset on three sides with oval (sides) and heart-shaped (front) Sevres-style plaques the latter unlocking to reveal hollow storage compartment, above a deep sloping rim surmounted by a rectangular galleried compartment with removable lid and interior lined space (for plants)the whole raised on attenuated cabriole legs with gilt-bronze putti and floral mounts at the shoulders and feet terminating in sabots.
